Drumaltnamuck is a townland of 64 statute acres and 11 perches about two miles north-east of Cullyhanna. It is bounded on the north by Camly Ball, on the east by Finiskin, and on the south and east by Tullyvallen Tipping East. In the Tithe Applotment Books of 1825 the total area of Drumalt is shown as 38 acres and 2 perches (Plantation Irish measure). Name of townland Druim-Ailt-na-Muice, "The ridge of the pig's height" (1). Valuation Although the decimalisation of the currency was introduced only in 1971, all of the valuations in the following table have been converted from £sd for convenience.
The 1837 Townland Valuation recorded only houses worth £5 or more a year. There were no houses of that value in the townland. Griffiths Valuation records the owner of the land as the Representatives of William Armstrong. Census of Ireland 1901 The Census enumerated four people in a single, two-roomed, slated household.
