Tullyvallen Tipping East is a townland of 218 statute acres 2 roods and 28 perches about two miles north-east of Cullyhanna. It is bounded on the north by Camly Macullagh, on the east by Camly Ball, on the south by Tullyvallen Tipping East and on the west by Tullyvallen Tipping West and Tullyyvallen. In the Tithe Applotment Books of 1825 the total area of Tullyvallen Tipping, incorporating the current East and West portions, is shown as 458 acres and 28 perches (Plantation Irish measure). Name of townland See Tullyvallen Valuation Although the decimalisation of the currency was introduced only in 1971, all of the valuations in the following table have been converted from £sd for convenience.
Griffiths Valuation records the owner of the townland as Walter McGeough Bond. Census of Ireland 1901 The Census enumerated 61 people in 11 households; a ratio of 5.5 people per household. The households occupied a total of 25 rooms; a ratio of 2.3 rooms per household and 2.4 people per room. One of the households had 5 rooms and ten had 2 rooms. Three one of the houses were thatched.
